Understanding The Structure Of A High Converting Ad

After breaking down hundreds of ads over the years, there are 5 things that almost ALL high converting ads have in common. (Most of the time, it is in this order:

  • Call Out Audience: Call out your target customer right away. Say something that gets their attention, show something in the video that they recognize or straight up tell them who they are. This is important because it ensures that you are attracting the correct audience before presenting them the problem, solution & call to action.
  • Call Out Problem: After calling out your audience, show them what their biggest problem is. Remind them of that pain point and do it with emotion. Try to relate to their situation & be specific with the problem at hand. The more they relate to the problem, the more they will listen
  • Show Solution: Now that they are primed up with their biggest problem, show them the solution (your product). Encourage excitement & celebration as you show them how their problem dissolves in front of their eyes. Emphasize how good it works, how convenient it is, how affordable it is & most importantly, that your product is the BEST solution to their problem.
  • Call To Action: Now that they’ve been called out, their biggest problem has been exposed & you showed them the perfect solution. TELL THEM TO BUY! People are naturally going to think “Oh that’s cool”, and move on. They need guidance, you need to tell them exactly what to do. And don’t say “Add to cart today” or “Make your purchase now”. Make it clean & native, like: “Go & get one today” or “You need this right now”.

Almost all high converting ads that we have seen have these factors and almost every single one has them in this order as well!

The Different Types Of Ads

There are many different types of ads. Image ads, Horizontal video ads, Square video ads, Vertical video ads, Animations, UGC & Repurposed content.

What type of ad is best for you? It’s easy, whichever ad effectively delivers your messaging for your product in the best way. Image ads are great if your product is self explanatory (like a pair of shoes), but if your product has function, video ads are the best way to go 99% of the time.

Your ad creatives are one of the most important parts of your ad campaigns, so it’s very important that you execute the correct type of ad for your product & advertising platform. You can explore all of the different types of ads you can run here.

How To Execute

Now that you know the criteria of what creates a winning advertisement & all of the different types of ads now it is time to execute. Utilize the structure we have shared with you, create your ads & go get that 5 ROAS!

12 Instagram Shoutout Examples for Your Dropshipping Business

instagram shoutout - instagram shoutout

Believe it or not, an Instagram shoutout is one of the most effective and cheapest strategies to promote your dropshipping business online. When done right, it can help boost your store’s visibility on the Gram, win you more customers, and uplift your sales.

But what exactly are Instagram shoutouts?

Instagram shoutouts are no different from the shoutouts you make to loved ones over the radio. They happen when someone – could be a customer, a raving fan, an influencer, or even another brand – mentions your brand on Instagram.

Think of shoutouts as reviews of some sort.

Shoutouts are so effective that you can build your entire marketing campaign on them without spending a single cent.

In this post, you will see some inspiring Instagram shoutout examples you can use as a blueprint to create yours.

In addition, we will show you how to get a shoutout without spending much.

12 Instagram Shoutout Examples

Looking for inspiration for your Instagram shoutout campaign? Here are shoutouts of some popular brands you can take a cue from:

1. Crockpot

instagram shoutout - instagram shoutout

And we kick things off with this shoutout by a customer for Crockpot, a pressure cooker retailer based in Australia. Did you notice how genuine and personalized this shoutout is?

You would think it’s a sponsored post, but it isn’t. The cool part is that the person giving the shoutout isn’t even a celebrity but a satisfied customer. This proves that selling quality products can get you a lot of shoutouts on Instagram, and you don’t even need to ask for them.

2. Naut & Chain

instagram shoutout - instagram shoutout

Naut and Chain is another classic example of Instagram Shoutout done right. The Jewelry brand took an unorthodox approach by enlisting Tyler Crispen, the company’s co-founder, for a shoutout.

Not only is this approach efficient, but also cost-effective.

Tyler Crispen, with over 400k followers on Instagram, is an influencer, so you can bet the shoutout post he made will get a lot of eyeballs.

This proves you don’t have to hire a celebrity to make a shoutout for your brand; you can do so yourself if you have a substantial following on Instagram.

3. All Birds

instagram shoutout - all birds

Doing a shoutout for your brand by yourself doesn’t always work. Sometimes, it’s best to leave it to those with more influence on Instagram. And that’s exactly what All Birds, a footwear brand, chose to do by getting Andre Hamann to do a shoutout.

Andre Hamann, a popular digital marketer, has a lot of influence on Instagram, with almost a million followers on Instagram.

For best results, Andre had to show himself working out with the shoe. What better way to show people how to use a product than using it yourself?

4. Jawzrsize

instagram shoutout - jawzsize

Jawzrsize is another eCommerce brand that is taking the shoutout thingy very seriously. Although the brand sells a jaw-shaping device which is quite unusual, it still leveraged the power of Instagram shoutouts to connect with potential customers.

They did this by enlisting Sam Schneider to give a shoutout. The post garnered 68 likes and 8 comments, proving it worked out nicely and got the attention Jawzrsize was looking for.

5. Electrolit USA

instagram shoutout - electrolit USA

Who said you need to pay thousands of dollars to a famous celebrity just to get words about your product out on Instagram? You could just ask loyal fans with substantial followership on Instagram to make a shoutout.

In return, you could just send them some of your products for free. This is exactly what Electrolit USA, a food and drink brand, did. You can do the same, too.

6. Huel

instagram shoutout - huel

Huel is another food brand making a killing with shoutouts on Instagram. Over the years, Huel has enlisted popular food lovers on Instagram to help grow its following using a mix of sponsored and organic posts.

Recently, Huel collaborated with Mattyofit to create a sponsored post. In the post, Matt shared his workout routine and explained how Huel has always been part of it.

Unsurprisingly, this post garnered over 5,000 likes and 140 comments at the time of this writing.

7. PSD Underwear

instagram shoutout - psd underwear

Sometimes, you don’t have to look for a grand shoutout to promote your brand. Simply asking customers to mention you in a post will work.

Take PSD Underwear, for example; they just reached out to a customer wearing their product and asked for a mention. She excitedly obliged.

You can also do the same. Better still, you can ask them to tag you. The more mentions and tags you get on Instagram, the more visible your brand will be.

8. Kawaii Pen

instagram shoutout - kawaii

Wouldn’t it be nice if your customers made a shoutout each time they received their orders? It sure will, and Kawaii Pen can attest to that.

Not too long ago, the books and stationery brand got a shoutout from an enthusiastic customer after she received her package.

The cool part is that this shout-out post cost Kawaii pen $0 in ad but was able to pull in 332 likes. That’s a feat!

9. Bluecrate

instagram shoutout - bluecrate

Print-on-demand niche meshes snugly well with Instagram shoutouts. In plain English, Instagram is an excellent platform to promote your print-on-demand products using shoutouts and tags.

Bluecrate, a hugely popular print-on-demand brand that produces personalized personal gifts, is a testament to this. The brand has leveraged shoutouts and tags to grow its Instagram audience, as shown in the screenshot above.

10. IvoryElla

instagram shoutout - ivoryella

Do you have an upcoming promotional campaign you would like the whole wide world to know about? Get your fans and customers to make a shoutout on their Instagram page, just like Ivory Ella did.

If possible, ask them to take a picture together with your product and make a post about it. You can take inspiration from the post above.

11. Notebook Therapy

instagram shoutout - notebook therapy

Notebook Therapy is another example of shoutout done well. They prove that satisfied customers can become your brand evangelist. All you have to do is sell quality products, and every other thing will fall into place.

This explains why you will find countless shoutouts on Notebook Therapy’s Instagram page, including the one above.

12. SunGod

instagram shoutout - sungood

We wrap things up with SunGod. Keep it short, sweet, and straight to the point. If possible, ask customers to take a picture with your product when giving a shoutout.

How to Get Instagram Shoutouts?

Getting Instagram shoutouts isn’t rocket science. You just need to put on your creative cap and get to work.

That said, here are some foolproof strategies to get shoutouts on Instagram without breaking a sweat.

1. Find Out if your Niche is suitable for Instagram

While Instagram is a great platform to promote a dropshipping business, it’s not a perfect fit for every niche. If your products don’t align with Instagram’s visual and demographic appeal, selling may be a challenge.

So, how can you tell if your dropshipping niche is a good match for Instagram?

There are no strict rules, and deep audience research may help—though it isn’t always practical.

Generally, Instagram works best for fast-moving consumer goods like fashion, beauty products, and pet supplies. These are visually engaging and naturally suited to the platform.

However, if you specialize in bulky items like gym equipment or furniture, you may not see strong results. Shoutouts won’t have much impact if the product doesn’t resonate with the Instagram audience.

2. Select the Items You Want to Promote On Instagram

Attempting to promote all your products at one go won’t cut it. Instead, it’s best to pick a product and promote the hell out of it.

2.1 Use Sell The Trend to find top selling products

This is where Sell The Trend can help. It’s one of the best tools for finding hot-selling dropshipping products. With its AI-driven insights and trending product tracker, you can easily pick a winner that’s proven to perform well on platforms like Instagram.

That way, your paid shoutouts, free shoutouts, and even voluntary shoutouts won’t go to waste.

Before launching your marketing strategy, head over to Sell The Trend, pick a product with solid engagement potential, and make that your Instagram hero item.

instagram shoutout - sell the trend

That said, before launching an aggressive shoutout campaign to get eyeballs to your dropshipping store, first select the product you would like to promote.

Only ensure that the product you select is viable and will make you sizable profits at the end of the day. Also, ensure the product is in demand; no need to promote a product people are not interested in.

3. Find Relevant Influencers or Blog Accounts

After determining that your niche is suitable for Instagram and selecting the right product, the next thing to do is find influencers and bloggers with a sizeable following on Instagram.

But how exactly can you go about that?

Here are some helpful tidbits:

3.1 Check if the influencer aligns with your niche

Let’s say you’re selling beauty products. Hiring a footballer like Messi or Ronaldo might sound appealing due to their huge audience, but it likely won’t result in many sales. Their followers aren’t looking for skincare tips.

Instead, work with influencers who already post about your type of product. For example:

Their audience will naturally be more interested in what you offer.

If you’re having trouble finding influencers, try influencer platforms like Grin to speed up the process.

3.2 Check their ratio of promotional posts

Review their feed. Do they post too many ads? If so, their followers may have “ad fatigue.”

  • Too many sponsored posts = low trust
  • A healthy mix of organic and paid = better engagement

Go for influencers who seem genuinely invested in the content they share.

3.3 Evaluate engagement on their posts

An influencer with 100,000 followers but only 100 likes per post is a red flag. Check for:

  • Realistic like counts
  • Meaningful comments
  • Signs of an active audience

Avoid influencers who may have bought fake followers.

3.4 Focus on the quality of  engagement

Likes are easy to fake. Comments are harder to generate.

  • Prioritize influencers with thoughtful, relevant comments under their posts
  • Scan replies for generic responses like “Nice!” or “Love this!” (could be bots)

Genuine engagement means better visibility when they shout out your product.

No title
Pro Tip: Use Sell The Trend to spot products already getting attention on TikTok and Facebook—great signs they’ll perform well on Instagram too.

4. Gather Info and Visuals for Promoting

Once you’ve picked the right influencer, the next step is to put together the stuff they’ll need to give your product a solid shoutout. This mostly means visuals and a few key product details.

Here’s a simple way to go about it:

4.1 Snap some good product photos

  • Just use your phone—no fancy camera needed
  • Find a spot with good natural light
  • Take a few shots from different angles to show off the product

You don’t need to overthink it. Clear, well-lit photos can do the job just fine.

It also helps to include some basic product info. This could be pricing, size, or a quick feature highlight. It’s optional, but it makes things easier for the influencer when they’re ready to post.

The easier you make it for them, the faster they’ll be able to share it. Clean visuals and a bit of context go a long way.

5. Pitch Your Post to The Shortlisted Candidates

Once your visuals are ready, it’s time to reach out to the influencers you’ve shortlisted. Don’t limit yourself—contact as many relevant influencers as you can to increase your chances of getting a shoutout.

Now, how do you get in touch with them?

You can start by sending a direct message (DM) on Instagram. It’s quick and easy, but there’s a chance your message might get lost in a sea of others.

instagram shoutout - instagram

That’s why email is often the better option. Many influencers include their email in their Instagram bio. For example, SaltBae lists his contact details clearly, making it easier for brands to reach out.

Once you’ve found the email, craft a short and clear pitch. Here’s what to include:

  • A quick intro about who you are
  • What your product is and why it matters
  • How the product will benefit their audience
  • What the influencer gets in return (free product, shoutout, payment, etc.)

Need help getting started? Use this simple pitch template:

“Hello [Influencer Name],

I’m [Your Name], and I’m a big fan of your content. I’ve been following your Instagram page for a while and love what you share.

I wanted to reach out and ask if you’d be open to doing a shoutout for my product. I noticed you post about similar items, and I believe your audience would be genuinely interested.

In return, I’d love to send you the product for free, plus give you a shoutout on my own page.

Thanks for considering this! Looking forward to hearing from you.”

Instagram Shoutout Examples: FAQs

1. How To Do A Shoutout On Instagram?

To do a shoutout on Instagram, pick an account with the same niche as yours. You can message them through Instagram direct message and ask if they do paid shoutouts or voluntary shoutouts. A paid shoutout means you pay them to promote your page.

A voluntary shoutout or free shoutouts means they tag you for free, often because they like your content.

Choose between a shoutout in the Instagram feed or an Instagram story. Also, check their shoutout pages. Make sure they post good-quality and real content.

2. Do Instagram Shoutouts Work?

Yes, they work when done right. A classic influencer marketing tactic is using a shoutout to grow fast. But be careful. Some accounts have fake followers. Before working with them, always check how many followers they have and how active their page is.

Insta shoutout or an Ig shoutout can help you reach new people. But your content must be good to keep them.

3. What Should I Write In A Shoutout?

In your Instagram direct message, be polite and clear. If you’re asking for a paid shoutout, write your budget. If you want a free shoutout, explain why they might like your page.

When giving someone a shoutout, write something nice about them. Add a tag and a reason why others should follow them. Keep it short. Use your Instagram story or Instagram feed, depending on where your followers look more.

4. How Much Does An Instagram Shoutout Cost?

It depends. Some shoutout pages charge $10, others over $500. It depends on how many followers they have and their reach.

A big account might charge more for a feed shoutout than a story shoutout. Always ask their rate and offer yours if you’re starting small. Compare prices to create your marketing strategy.

Conclusion

Instagram shoutouts can grow your Instagram account fast. Whether you go for paid shoutouts or free ones, they can bring more eyes to your store.

Use a smart marketing strategy—pick the right product, the right influencer, and post good content. Mix up your posts with Instagram stories and feed shoutouts for better reach.

Start small, track results, and keep improving.

8 Best CMS for Ecommerce to Use

Are you searching for the best CMS (Content Management System) for eCommerce to launch your online store this 2022? Search no more because you have found the best 8 of them.

By the way, what is CMS all about, and what’s the big deal with it?

If you want to build a website, you can choose between two broad options: build from scratch or use a CMS.

Building from scratch is ideal if your coding skills are top-notch – or you are willing to hire a developer. The advantage of this approach is that you can design your website however you want. This means great flexibility and control.

However, on the flip side, it can be time-consuming and grossly ineffective. It might take you months to build a robust and functional eCommerce website.

For this reason, you are better off using a Content Management System. CMS lets you set up an eCommerce quickly with minimal coding. The cool part is that it allows you to create product pages, blog content, etc., easily.

In this post, we will review the eight best CMS for eCommerce in 2022. We will review their strength and weakness and give our unbiased opinion about them.

Let’s get into it.

*|SIGNUP_AD|*

What Are Content Management System Ecommerce Platforms?

In basic terms, a Content Management System is a software solution, usually cloud-based, that makes it easy for you to create and manage content online.

Beyond creating and managing content, CMSs allow you to create stunning websites – and even host them online – without knowing a lick about coding.

Case in point: Sell the Trend.

Sell the Trend comes with an intuitive editor that makes it easy for you to build an elegant dropshipping website in minutes; no coding is required.

More details on Sell the Trend shortly.

Another good example of an eCommerce CMS is Shopify. With Shopify, you can design and set up your eCommerce website, host it online, purchase a domain name, create posts and pages, manage payments, and lots more.

Most CMSs make optimizing your eCommerce website for search (SEO) easy. This means you don’t have to worry about submitting your site map to Google, adding tags to your content, or creating rich snippets for your posts – all those are handled out of the box for you.

That said, the next thing to bother about is finding the right CMS for your dropshipping business.

The thing is, there are different types of CMS solutions on the market. This can make finding the right one for your business a bit of a challenge. But don’t worry; we will guide you through the process of picking the best one soon.

Types of CMS for Ecommerce

CMS for eCommerce falls into two broad types: SaaS CMS and Open Source CMS.

SaaS CMS

SaaS is the acronym for Software as a Solution. It’s a term used to refer to any cloud-hosted software solution that allows you to process customers’ payments, track your shipment, set up a website, manage your content online, etc.

This means you don’t have to install the software locally on your computer.

It then follows that a SaaS CMS is a content management system that allows you to create a website, publish and manage content exclusively online. To use, you only have to create an account.

Sell the Trend is a good example.

Shopify, BigCommerce, Wix, etc., are also other great examples.

One of the advantages of SaaS CMS is that very easy to use. More on that later.

Open Source CMS

A software solution is said to be open source if the source code of the software is open and accessible to anyone, not just a single individual or an organization.

Often, open-source software is free to use, and anyone can modify and add extra features to it.

Instinctively, open-source CMSs are free CMSs that you can use to build your eCommerce website.

WordPress is a typical example – and the most popular. Drupal and Joomla are also other good examples.

Unlike SaaS CMS, open-source CMS can be used both offline and online.

Top 8 CMS Platforms for Ecommerce

Here are the best eight eCommerce CMS solutions you can’t go wrong with:

1. Sell the Trend

And so we kick things off with Sell the Trend.

Putting Sell the Trend on spot #1 might look biased, but it isn’t. The reason is simple: Sell the Trend is packed with many features and tools that allow dropshipping merchants to set up and manage an online store easily – and fast!

To begin with, Sell the Trend is an Aliexpress partner. This means you can easily find winning products on Aliexpress and import them into your store using our chrome extension with a click of the button.

In addition, Sell the Trend comes packed with many marketing tools that make it easy to market your products online. Facebook audience builder, video ads creator, influencer engagement calculator, etc., are some of them.

What’s more, Sell the Trend makes it easy to automate dropshipping marketing, thanks to the robust store automation feature it comes with.

The cool part is that you can set up a website to sell your products, create fast-loading product pages, and manage your content without breaking a sweat with Sell the Trend.

Sell the Trend makes it easy to set up a dropshipping store without hiring a designer or developer. Plus, it is easy to use.

Cons

The only thing you might not like about Sell the Trend is that it doesn’t have a free plan. But we offer free trials to users.

2. Shopify

Shopify is undoubtedly one of the biggest SaaS eCommerce CMSs on the market. Founded in 2006 in Canada, Shopify currently powers over a million eCommerce websites, including dropshipping stores.

What makes Shopify unique is that literally everything is taken care of for you when you sign up for an account. Hosting, domain registration, payment processing, and many more.

On top of that, Shopify has a huge collection of free and premium themes that you can easily access, ensuring you can never run out of design options when setting up your store.

As for SEO(Search Engine Optimization), Shopify is second to none for eCommerce CMS. Once you publish a page and optimize it by including target keywords, Shopify takes care of the rest to ensure that the page appears on Google.

Shopify is very flexible that both up-and-coming entrepreneurs and established enterprises with millions of dollars in revenue can use it.

Pricing: Shopify has three major pricing plans: Basic, Shopify, and Advanced plans, and they cost $24, $69, and $299 per month, respectively.

Rating: 4.85/5.0

Key Features

  • Business name generator
  • Website builder
  • Logo maker
  • Stock photography
  • 100+ themes
  • Web hosting
  • SEO
  • Marketing automation
  • Email marketing
  • 1000+ apps (free and paid)

Pros

Shopify is beginner-friendly. You can create a nice online store even if you have never built a website before and know little about eCommerce. Plus, almost everything is taken care of for you.

And you can always get help and support whenever you need it.

Cons

Setting up your eCommerce shop on Shopify can be a costly venture. You’d have to spend a lot on premium themes and apps to get things going.

3. WordPress/WooCommerce

WordPress, as we earlier highlighted, is a powerful open-source CMS solution that makes it easy to design and manage a website without stress.

But to use WordPress to set up an eCommerce website, you need to install a plugin on your website. While there are many plugins on the WordPress plugin repository, WooCommerce is the most popular.

WooCommerce currently powers over 4 million eCommerce websites.

The cool part about using WordPress to set up a dropshipping store is that you can create as many pages and posts as you wish with just a click of the button. And you can add as many different media to your pages: images, videos, audio, and many more.

Another reason to use WordPress is that it offers unlimited flexibility, allowing you to customize your eCommerce website however you please.

Like Shopify, WordPress has many free and premium themes running into thousands. The same goes for plugins.

Why Do You Need a CMS For Your eCommerce Business?

Content Management Systems for eCommerce can be expensive and difficult, so why do we still recommend using them? Here are some reasons why:

SEO Friendly

If you were to manually create your web pages and posts instead of using a CMS, you’d have to also manually submit them to Google to make your website findable each time you add a new page or content.

That’s time-consuming and downright impractical.

However, using a CMS ensures your pages are automatically indexed on Google each time you publish a new post.

Optimized Product Pages

Creating optimized product pages that convert visitors into customers is a mix of art and science.

Creating one can be a serious challenge if you don’t have advanced coding skills.

CMSs allow you to create one without writing any code or hiring a developer.

Addon Integration

Using a CMS to build your eCommerce website makes it a lot easier to add advanced features and functionalities to your website, thanks to the numerous addon integration most of these CMSs come with.

Conclusion

So there you have it; the eight best CMS for eCommerce in 2022.

You don’t need to know a lick about coding to use these solutions, and you can start with them as soon as possible.

A Definitive Guide to Start Free Plus Shipping Business

A Definitive Guide to Start Free Plus Shipping Business

Free plus shipping is an excellent option if you are looking to get into dropshipping. Under this arrangement, you sell products to customers at zero cost.

Yes, you heard right: $0.00.

We know what you are thinking. How do you cover the cost of the product, let alone make profits by selling products entirely free to customers?

The trick is to factor in the cost of the product and profits into the shipping fee.

For example, you can buy a product for $2 and pay $2 in shopping. Then you sell it for $0.00 but charge your customers $6 for shipping.  You keep $2 as profits.

Free plus shipping has immense potential, as many dropshippers have cashed in on it to make thousands of dollars in profits.

Too good to be true? It probably is.

Is free plus shipping profitable? Definitely!

The key is striking a balance between cost and shipping fees. And that’s what this post is about.

In this post, you will learn what free plus shipping is all about and how to make the most of it. We will also show you how to start.

Let’s get the ball rolling.

*|SIGNUP_AD|*

What is Free Plus Shipping?

“Free” is a buzzword that gets a lot of attention. It gets attention because, as humans, we are wired to like free stuff. Just let out the word “free” and you will hook a lot of people.

Free Plus Shipping is a marketing tactic that allows you to leverage this phenomenon to build a profitable online retail business.

But how exactly does it work?

For example, you can decide to sell, say, a T-shirt for only $0.00 and charge customers $10 for shipping. Many will jump on the offer without thinking twice.

The thing is, many people won’t mind paying $10 in shipping fee just to get a product for free.

Why Should You Start a Free Plus Shipping Shopify Business?

Are you still in doubt and wondering if free plus shipping is worth the effort? Here are some reasons that will help you get over your misgivings.

Free Products Attract People

Who doesn’t like free stuff? No matter how much money we have as humans, our instincts will always prompt us to jump on free offers.

Free products attract people any day, any time.

This explains why shoppers will instinctively pay $15 in shipping for a free bag instead of paying $10 as the cost for the bag.

Free shipping plus lets you leverage the “free” buzzword to drive traffic to your website and generate sales.

A Quick Boost For Your Dropshipping Store

When starting a dropshipping store, you won’t have much experience and budget. But you need some early wins to build up momentum for your business.

Selling products for free allows you to record some early wins to give your dropshipping store the much-needed boost it needs. And the best part is that you don’t need a budget or experience to get things going.

With time, you can expand your business beyond the free shipping model.

Grow Your Social Media Presence

Promoting your free products on social media allows you to grow your presence online.

You already know why promoting free products on social media will help grow your social media presence, don’t you? People love freebies and are always on the lookout for them.

And social media is where most people hunt for free products. You just need to learn the art of hashtagging to drive them to your Instagram or Facebook pages and build a stronger presence for your business.

Make Huge Profits by Selling More

One of the instant benefits of selling products for free is that it gives you the chance to sell products in huge quantities simply because shoppers find freebies irresistible.

The more products you sell, the more profits you will make. It’s that simple!

Easy to Start Business Model

One of the beauties of free plus dropshipping is that it is easy to start – possibly a lot easier than regular dropshipping.

No inventory…no need for a website…no need to spend money on dropshipping apps.

In fact, you can start from Facebook and then scale up your business with time.

This makes it an ideal model for wannabe dropshippers looking to get their feet wet before diving into dropshipping.

Pros and Cons of Free Shipping Model

How would you know if the free shipping model is a good fit for you? Knowing the pros and cons of it might help you figure it out.

That being said, let’s look at some of the pros and cons of the free shipping model.

Pros

  • Easy to start: You don’t need a huge budget or a lot of experience to start a free shipping dropshipping business. Just grit is enough.
  • Little promotion: Free products don’t need heavy promotion. A little marketing, and it will catch on like wildfire.
  • Make a lot of profits: When done right, you can make a lot of profits by selling products at zero cost to customers.

Cons

Free dropshipping might not always be the best choice for selling online. Here are some reasons why:

  • You are severely limited: There are certain products you can’t just sell for free. For example, you can’t sell electronic gadgets like headphones for free. Attempting it will make your store look fraudulent and make shoppers run away.
  • You can run at a loss: A lot of costs go into running a dropshipping store, and the chief of them is marketing. If you don’t factor these costs into your pricing, you will run at a loss.
  • It may not work out well when your business begins to expand: Free shipping dropshipping is best suited for starter dropshippers. It won’t work out well when your business starts to grow.

A Beginner’s Guide to Free Shipping Dropshipping Business

Now that you have decided free plus shipping is a viable business model you would like to try, the next step is to determine how to start.

Don’t worry; we’ve got your back on that.

Here are some tips to help you get up and running and succeed.

1. Pick the Right Product

As we earlier highlighted, one of the vital keys to succeeding with free plus shipping is selecting the right product.

But then, how do you know if a product is right for this type of dropshipping model?

Simple. The price of that product is the most significant indicator.

For example, products that cost $10 or less are an excellent choice for free dropshipping. The reason is that for such products, you can conveniently charge customers $15 for shipping, and they won’t raise an eyebrow.

The shipping fee you charge will cover the cost of the product, and you will still make profits.

But if the product costs, say, $15, charging your customers $20 for shipping might not go well.

So, as a rule of thumb, select cheaper products.

But what kind of products can you sell?

Select the Right Products

Here are some product suggestions you might want to try:

Pet Toys

Pet toys are hot selling products you can sell at zero cost but charge customers a decent shipping fee.

You can buy these products for less than $2 on Aliexpress.

One good thing about selling pet products is that your options are near limitless.

Phone Cases

Phone cases are another great set of products you can go for. They are in high demand, cost next to nothing, and are always in trend.

Phone cases are popular on Aliexpress, and you can get them at competitive prices.

Phone Stand

Are you wondering why we keep adding phone accessories to this list? It’s because these items sell hot like wildfire. And phone stands are one of them.

Expectedly, phone stands are cheap on Aliexpress and cost almost nothing.

Consider the Price Range

As we have already established, if the product’s price is less than $10, go for it. If it is more, you are better off steering clear.

How to Sell Free Shipping Products?

Now you have determined free dropshipping is good for you and have figured out the products to sell, the next step is to start selling by following the steps below:

Set up Your Online Store

The first step is to set up your online store. Selling on Facebook might be ok for a start, but that approach is not scalable.

10 Dropshipping Apps That Are Better Than Shopify

10 Dropshipping Apps That Are Better Than Shopify

Are there apps better than Shopify when it comes to dropshipping? The answer is yes.

Shopify is undoubtedly one of the best dropshipping apps on the market. It makes setting up a dropshipping store online a breeze – no coding is required. Plus, you don’t need to worry about the technical side of hosting a website, as everything is taken care of for you.

Another reason why many dropshippers choose to use Shopify is that it is packed with lots of features and tools that make selling online a seamless experience. Multiple sales channels, unlimited product import, top-notch security, website builder, discount and coupon, detailed reporting…they are just too many to name.

However, Shopify might not always be ideal for your dropshipping business. For one thing, Shopify can be expensive. You can spend a ton of cash on apps just to keep your store going.

In addition, Shopify’s website builder tool has severe limitations.

As such, you might have to look for alternatives to Shopify. And there are lots of them on the market.

In this post, we will be reviewing some of the dropshipping apps that are better than Shopify. But first, why use dropshipping platforms?

*|SIGNUP_AD|*

Why Use Dropshipping Platforms?

If you are looking to set up a dropshipping store, there are two major routes you can take. One is building a dropshipping website from scratch by coding it up or using a CMS. The second option is to use a dropshipping platform.

Building a website from scratch is time-consuming and cumbersome. Plus, setting up a functional dropshipping site can be technically challenging if you are not much of a techie.

On the other hand, using a dropshipping platform makes your life a lot easier. You don’t have to build a website from scratch, as most dropshipping platforms make it easy to create an elegant website with a few clicks of a button.

What’s more, using a dropshipping platform makes it possible to import products from popular retail sites such as Aliexpress and Alibaba without breaking a sweat.

Other reasons to use a dropshipping platform include better sales channels, support, SEO, content management, etc.

Top 10 Shopify Alternatives

As we earlier highlighted, Shopify isn’t the only dropshipping platform available – there are several alternatives. Here are the best 10:

Don’t get it twisted; that we placed Weebly on spot #9 doesn’t mean it’s a dud. On the contrary, Weebly is one of the most powerful alternatives to Shopify that many dropshippers have come to fall in love with.

Why so?
